Abandoning The American Dream

The American dream is going to be abandoned soon. It won’t be abonded by Americans or by foreigners or by newscasters or politicians. I’m going to abandon my American Dream. Well, maybe. I might abandon it.

The Dream is a nice house with a gorgeous woman at least 6 years younger than myself. Several children(at least one boy) and the best riding mower that was available whenever the house was purchased.

The color of the mower is irrelavent, as long as it was the top of line mower at the time. The price is irrelevant to some extent, it probably wouldn’t be the most expensive mower but it would certainly be almost as expensive as the most expensive mower.

That would be happiness. Mowing the lawn for a summer would be happiness, and paying someone to mow it thereafter until my children turned 14 would be happiness. And all of it would be worth it.

I’ll momentarily abandon The Dream by dropping a math course, but that doesn’t matter. Imaginary children don’t need imaginary silver spoons, we’ll just steal them when the time comes.
